This is what the SCD Big Book says:

This large-format (4" x 5-5/8") version of 1997 Bowman's Best features 16 of the season's top stars and hottest rookies. Utilizing Chromium, Refractor, and Atomic Refractor technologies, the cards are identical in every way except size to the regular-issue Bowman's Best. The jumbos were only sold through Topps Stadium Club. Each of the sets consists of 12 Chromium cards plus 3 randomly packaged Refractors and one Atomic Refractor. About 900 sets were produced according to Topps sales literature, which breaks down to 700 regular cards, 170 Refractors, and 60 Atomic Refractors of each player.

I think there was a brief dicussion about this earlier in this thread. The best explanation seemed to be from frankthomascollection.com, but I don't have the direct link.

I think the numbers listed on these are not accurate. I have the refractor and atomic and have yet to see a base chrome jumbo of Andruw Jones. In addition, the refractors seem more rare than the atomics as I have seen them more often than the refractors. Granted this is just what I have seen personally for one player of the set. But the base jumbos are definately more rare than 700 copies and the atomics seem to be more abundant than 60.

Diffractors are pretty awesome

^^Super sweet! Man I wish I had a stack of Belle Diffractors. I located a box of '98 Tek this week, so I'll see if I can pull a rabbit out of a hat when I break. Let everyone know what surfaces...

Mail day today made me smile... Completed the trifecta!

The new King of my Thomas collection (no pun intended). Originally posted the Ripken from the same set hoping for a trade, but was lucky enough to have the opportunity to make this purchase thanks to the Ripken. I thought it was lost in the mail coming to me, but it arrived, and it is glorious:
