The new King of my Thomas collection (no pun intended). Originally posted the Ripken from the same set hoping for a trade, but was lucky enough to have the opportunity to make this purchase thanks to the Ripken. I thought it was lost in the mail coming to me, but it arrived, and it is glorious:

Diffractors are pretty awesome

Wow, awesome! I don't think I've seen a player collection put together like that until now.

I scooped up this Griffey Diffractor for $10 recently...

And now I have my page of 9, but when I scan all 9 at once they don't look so great:

Seem to scan better by themselves:

I recently said that Griffey Diffractors at auction have been going up up up - from $30 early last year to $40 to recently $50.

I bought this card with some production damage for $28ish from Burbank, then one at auction for about the same, then lucked up on one for $5 on a BIN... but last night one sold for like $56?!

I don't know if these are flukes, but the market seems to be increasing for tough Griffeys at a faster pace than before. Not sure if it's representative of the market for tough 90's stuff as a whole.

Sorry; that was one of my toughest purchases.

Got a few really good deals/steals from one seller in today. I'm looking to move most or all of them and it won't take much to get the smaller stuff.

The Matthews is /100, which surprised me. Wouldn't mind a star from that set for my PC.

Great deals! Can't believe he didn't list the big cards individually. Congrats!

Trip fell and landed on a '98 Tek box. I've got some PMs already but if you need your guy, let me know via PM and I'll reach out tonight or tomorrow after I break it up.

I posted the Andruw Jones diffractor for 39.99 on ebay and it already has two watchers  Crazy what some will pay for these. I thought I'd post some ridiculous amount since I don't mind keeping it for my PC.

Be careful on the Thomas, as it could be the light blue, which are tough to distinguish from the silvers.

I recall them being difficult to tell but didn't realize how tough it is. I've never owned a 97 pacific parallel but this one looks like all the other pacific silvers I've owned. Thanks for the heads up.
