I posted the Andruw Jones diffractor for 39.99 on ebay and it already has two watchers  Crazy what some will pay for these. I thought I'd post some ridiculous amount since I don't mind keeping it for my PC.
I sold all my Juans for $75 each. They are harder to find than the 1999-2000 golds.

I'd say most of my "hard to find" cards are truly that. I have a good pulse on what's rare, but I don't force them to buy them. Most of my customers beg for me to list more.

True. But you have to admit, MOST are impatient and don't really do their research well. ;)

Exp.
You had set of these at what, $175 BIN/BO?
(Don't have the CD scanned)
1998PinnacleInsideStand-UpGuysSampl.jpg

Sold it for $80 BO. Good for you! Great sale....

Got my AB for $12 at auction. I paid just under $20 for the CD.
Being a player collector is all about patience.
I do love seeing some of your auctions listed when I notice them, but most I pass over VERY quickly once I see the price. ;)

Not for every collector.

The one thing that some (not aimed at you or anyone in particular) people dont realize is that you can always make more money. There are cards (and other things as well) that you simply cant find

You can with patience. ;)
Eventually, everything comes to light. Some sooner than later.

I do the same...nothing like watching a card end for $4 and being re-listed a few days later for $40 OBO. Interesting and kinda makes me wonder why I'm in this hobby...with all the greed I should have just collected used cars.

Just depends on when something is listed. A few days earlier, an AB panel and a CD panel sold for $41.60 and $39.80 respectively

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Cal-Ripken-...0749755901?pt=US_Baseball&hash=item231962b9fd

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Cal-Ripken-...0749754574?pt=US_Baseball&hash=item231962b4ce

We can all pick out ebay auctions that have sold for too high or too little, patience is fine, but my $80 price for both panels was reasonable compared to other past listings and other cards from the same set.

I perceive a couple of these recent posts to be taking shots at clarkfan. I just wanted to point out that he has over 16k transactions with 100% feedback and I have had two excellent transactions with him.

Also, I am one of those guys that buys a deal at $4 and tries to make money off it. With my profits I buy cards for my own collection. I do it for the love of the hobby. Some do it to make a living. Considering that used car dealers are known for high-pressure sales, preying on uneducated buyers, and hiding damage, is (indirectly) comparing us to used car dealers fair? (rhetorical) I don't think there's anything wrong right now with the hobby of 90's cards. I even love Burbank.

Can't we all just stay on topic? :grouphug:

It's all good. Thanks for the support Eric. I don't mind the shots. Nothing personal. I treat my card collecting like I treat my business outside the internet, as a business. Treating it like a business has allowed me to buy A LOT of Clark cards over the years that I would have never been able to afford without making money in the card industry.

Here is a 90's insert Russ just to keep the peace around here, I had to choose Ripken :)
