Wow, $60 for a box! Umm... how many boxes did they have? :mrgreen: Great pulls. I was just talking with someone last month about how we hadn't seen a Gwynn come to market in the relatively short time we'd been paying attention.

Very cool and great buy on the box for $60. I remember this weekend when those three full boxes spiked on eBay late Friday or Saturday night and they were gone by mid-morning the following day. $120 was a little rich for my blood but looking back maybe I should of picked one up. By the way, I have pattern 82 for Belle but appreciate you sharing what you pulled and allowing some of us the opportunity to increase our tek patterns.

First, sweet card! Did you have this non-graded before? Otherwise, I use to know the feeling of having trouble finding cardboard I still needed for Belle but then they reintroduced him to the hobby after 10 years of being on the shelf lol

No, I bought this one already graded. Cruz hasn't been in a set since 08 and with the way his career went, I don't see him making a reappearance any time soon, thankfully.

Wow... I have an update regarding the 2001 Fleer Autographics Albert Belle non-serial numbered autograph card I've discussed in the past on here. As some of you guys know, I've NEVER seen the Albert Belle non-serial numbered version but I have a few of the silver #/250 and gold #/50. I also remember some other guys on here saying they either have the exact same problem or the opposite where they've never seen the silver and gold of their guy. Anyways, I've pounded the table with Beckett on this because the card has stayed on their checklist but I'm 100% it does not exist and is probably a fallout from the Fleer bankruptcy.

Anyways, small victory today as they notified me they have removed the card from Albert Belle's checklist.......... winning

That's very good news. I was one of the others with the opposite problem of never seeing a silver or gold of Cruz. I think I'm safe in removing them from my checklist. If I've seen 7 copies of Cruz cards #'d to 25 and not one silver auto #'d to 250 in 11 years, it probably does not exist.

Was just updating my lists, here's an extremely rare card. The only one I know of but certainly means there was most likely an entire sheet printed (so more player collectors might find one of their guy).

That's my 4th Griffey. Almost halfway to my goal!

So interesting to look at ended auctions over the past couple months for diffractors. There was the group from Burbank that I think Padres scooped up for between $5 and $10 a pop. Those had been on Burbank ever since I'd returned to collecting. Then there was the group that sold at 7-day auction for about $5 to $10 with an Aramis going for $22. But then someone's been listing even common/semistars at a really high BIN... and getting some bites! Robin Ventura for $30?! There's one on Beckett Market Place for $5 that nobody's touching. Tino for $30?! That's how much I'm paying for Griffey!

Maybe I just don't know how to sell on ebay because I can't seem to get MME (maximum money extraction). I've ended up upside down in a couple cards recently. Like I see two Ryno Sportscasters /25 and /30 for $30-$40 in ended auctions and I only get $15 for my /20. I should stick to buying :benson:

How can you tell that those Pacific cards are backdoored? I have the Larkin's from that set, but they are just the normal cards that were released that year. Are these different on the back, or was Andruw not in the regular set release? Just curious.

These were supposed to be serial numbered but are not. I can only assume that these were held from release so that in the event of a complaint they would be able to stamp it with the same serial number before issuing it as a replacement. Over the years I've been able to track unnumbered copies of all but one pacific cards Andruw appeared on.

There are two sellers on COMC that have a ton of 1998 Row 0 Legacys each, but I suspect they're all backdoored. The backdoor versions do not have any foil stamping on the back (except the serial #), right?

1999 SPx Radiance Kenny Lofton /100 - has a looong scratch down one side and a couple other nitpicky issues, but made a great scan:

1998 Leaf Rookies & Stars Power Tools Longevity Frank Thomas /50 - I was really disappointed the cool foily effect with the team logos wasn't more prominent. I saw a couple scans of other Power Tools Longevity, and they looked cooler than this:

Nice pick ups greerfan. About the diffractors, I just think it's all about timing and when people are ready to spend. I ended up selling about 30 diffractors and just kept the Padres.
