I agree with you - I ended up buying 4 Larkins from him. I now own 5 of them. just couldn't pass them up at that price. Figured I would send them in for grading and maybe pull a PSA 10 out of it :)

One more here if you're interested. It's the only card I received from him peeled.

I know these cards are popular but I think they are more popular with hoarders or investors. If I won't pay anywhere near $500-$700 for a red crusade, I'd never touch one of these at that price. Unless of course I had whittled my list down to the point where it was simply time to go hunting and that was all I could find.

There are at least 3 set collectors bumping heads with PC guys. I have been able to obtain the set collectors needs and base my assumed ebay value on which collector(s) needs a particular card.......all three need Larkin while only 1 needs a Bagwell.

I would probably go $500-$700 on a Mirror Gold of Larkin. I have only seen one ever, but it was a BGS 9.5. It is at the very top of my want list. I guess it depends on what you want, I would personally never go that high on a Red Crusade, but I would on a Mirror Gold. Just my preference I guess.

My hopes of ever attaining one are diminishing as I read this ^

I've seen a few Bagwells. I just don't agree with the pricing which is why I don't own one. Eventually I'll see one at a price I like or I'll just have to get my butt in gear and ante up.

Mr. Bacon - sometimes I think the juice ain't worth the squeeze looking for mislabeled or weird cards on COMC. I know you have found some, but the time involved has got to be a lot and I keep thinking that it was more prevalent in the earlier days of COMC. But in my recent listings there were a lot of cards misidentified... so I'm guessing it still happens plenty.
