I can tell you for a fact theres less than 100 of these in mint.

Years ago, 2 kids shoveled my store & took payment in cards. One of them got this griffey in a pack.

Somewhere down the line, card got all beat up. Pretty sure he still has it.

Well the cards themselves were horrible for condition all the way around. Not uncommon to find even the more common versions in bad shape! Let's just say I don't need a Bagwell! Yay!

Part of the hobby no one ever talks about (but intriguing nonetheless)

I always think of how many rare cards may have been lost in floods, house fires, mom throwing out the kids cards when he went away to college etc..

I'm subscribed to a guy on youtube that lost his entire (and extensive) Griffey collection to a flood a few years back.

I wonder if its the same guy I sold some Griffeys to?

I tried to get in on that Starquest and the Studio Silver /100 but my pockets weren't deep enough. I swear the market is improving for Griffey and the other 90s stars are either stagnant or dropping.

Not Jeter's late 90's stuff. Believe me, I know first hand!

Wow, nice prices! Would have thought the 98 UD Retro Quantum Leap would have sold for relatively more than the 99 Gold Label Red /50, as well as some of the /100 inserts you've listed. Tough to find and condition sensitive.

Agreed. The Quantum Leap was also numbered 2/50, Jeter's jersey number or an Ebay 1/1 as many state.

Not sure if it has been expressed before, but there is now evidence that 1998 Sports Illustrated 1/1s are not true 1/1s.

Ebay seller shelbyville_sports_cards has put up quite a few recently and the Rusty Greer was bought by a guy that already had one.

That's the same guy who posts the unsigned superfractors and other suspicious items. Unfortunately one of my Buhner 1/1s is the '98 SI :(

Wish I hadn't sold my Andruw so I could also confirm but I thought this might be the case when I saw the Andruw listed ungraded. When I sold it, it was in a BGS 9.5 case.
