My best friend's sister's boyfriend's brother's girlfriend heard from this guy who knows this kid who's going with the girl who saw Ferris pass out at 31 Flavors last night and he's also putting together a set of Crusade prototypes.

I sold that guy my three Grace prototypes earlier this year. And I'm going on a week long vacation next month on the proceeds. And that's no BS. He says he's at about 90℅ completion of the prototypes, which is a staggering accomplishment.

card show here in greensboro this weekend.... was suppose to go saturday--wife ended up having to work late so couldn't swing it...then she had the day off sunday when she thought she worked so i got to go for a few hours and struck (fun for me) gold! ended up plucking about $60 worth of 50 cent and also 3 for $1 cards from the same guys booth. the boxes were originally $1 and $.50 but then 50 cent and 3/1 on the other box. got about 140 cards in total, about 90% 90s inserts maddux, sandberg, griffey, thomas cards mostly with random stuff that caught our eye. no hidden gems in there but a ton of $5-10BV cards gonna take me a while to get them sorted through but will post a list once I do get it all typed up in case anyone needs anything here. some cool stuff and had a lot of fun! got a great deal on a 1971 topps hank aaron PSA 6 as i was heading out the door also (my favorite card of all-time and had been meaning to grab a nicely centered one for myself to go along with my copy I've had since i was 10)

I'll try to post a group shot of everything this week if i can get a decent enough photo- scans would be a pain!

had a blast, second card show I've been to since I got back into collecting the first was the same promotions show last year

edit: here are the Maddux/Griffey/Chipper cards from the haul- rookies was $2 NM condition, and nicely centered to upgrade from our old one- all the rest were $.50/3 for $1

I'm totally serious. Before I sold those three, I had only ever sold one card from my collection. Now it's four. T'was an offer I couldn't refuse (but was asked not to reveal).

Bottom row is what I sold, still have 2 regular rainbows. They were the unnumbered "backdoor" versions I bought around 2001. The purple and red may have been 1/1's.

They were in BGS 9 holders when sold
