Going through some cards i collected when i was younger, do believe i have found a 1998 topps tek "diffractor" Ken Griffey Jr. I am told it is quite rare, i am thinking about rejoining the hobby and havent decided the card's fate, as of yet.

A One to One is a One of One or Masterpiece card. One to One is just what they happened to call a 1/1 in that issue. I'm surprised that Jeter didn't go for more. Is there something fishy with it?

Here's a recent pickup of mine:

Think he was laughing at one TO one, instead of the correct one OF one. Chaz knows what a 1 of 1 is. A 1 to 1, guess that would make 2 copies, right?

Here's my latest 90's pickup. $8.00 seemed very cheap:

Actually, for that set, one TO one is correct. That's what the 1/1 parallels were called from that Gold Label set. Like the Fleer Sports Illustrated 1/1s were called "First Edition." That's just what the name of the set was.

That's weird. I looked on ebay, and Topps did call them "ONE TO ONE INSERTS" on the box. I see Beckett lists them that way, but they list 1999 Topps Gold Label Hockey cards as "1 OF 1." Looking a little more, all 1998 and 1999 Gold Label (baseball, football, hockey) were 1 TO 1 on the Topps box. Doesn't seem grammatically correct to me.

How far are you along on that set? Would be a cool completion. What do commons usually go for? Saw some on ebay for $11.99.

You'd have to be certified crazy to try and put that set together! I'm just talking about the players I collect; Jason Kendall and Chili Davis are in that set, and who else collects them? No one, that's who, but on the off chance they turn up, way more than $8.

You going after the ones from 1997 too? The Goudey Great Foils? I have an extra Griffey...

Those are tough, but no one I collect is in that set. Now, the 1997 Fleer Decade of Excellence Rare Traditions...those can be a bitch to find reasonable. Same with the 1998s, although I did get a Galarraga in a huge insert lot I bought on ebay a few months back. I may have paid less for the whole lot than the Galarraga alone has sold for!

I was told that this is the place to go to get info on 97 mirror blacks. I'm curious if the Chipper Jones exists? Thanks
