#/100 from 1998 is nothing to sneeze at. Heck a UD Clearly Dominant #/250 from that year is damn nearly impossible to find.

Yep it makes no sense. Two other 1998 cards I can't find are UD amazing greats die cuts /250 and Great Xpectations die cut /300 (I think). Saw one of each one time in the last few years and missed out and haven't seen another again.
