5-1 Wings in Game 4. Sorry Hawks fans.

Almost guaranteed to be Detroit vs. Pittsburgh again. But I think Fluery is better than Osgood this year. Should be a great, long series.

Bulin is hurt and Huet sucked, but he reentered the game.

If it does end up Pittsburgh and Detroit (anything could happen), it should be interesting to see how Hossa performs. Remember he decided on a 1 year offer instead of more money from Pittsburgh as he thought Detroit had the better chance to win. Should be fun (if it happens)!

Many people compare the Pens to the Oilers of the 80's. The Oilers lost to the Islanders in their first Cup finals in the 80's, then the Oilers beat the Islanders the following year to win their first of 5 Cups. The Wings beat the Pens last year, the Pens will beat the Wings this year....with a BIG F U to Hossa!!!

I think the Pens will win in the rematch. They have the better goalie, and talent, just not the depth, and now they have the experience from last year.

I am kind of curious about this statement. I know I am a Wings fan, but what has MAF done? Osgood has won 2 Cups and proven to be a very good goaltender who is underrated. He has 14 career playoff shutouts and a total of 70 playoff wins. I will give you Crosby and Malkin being very talented, but they are not head and shoulders above Dasyuk, Zetterberg, Hossa, and Franzen. I also wonder how Malkin will do since he was a no show in last year's cup. Hossa, if I remember correctly, seemed to be most of the Pens offense vs. the Wings.

It's not like last year was close. I think the PIT gets closer, but still doesn't win. I'd go with a 4-2 series for the Wings. People only talk about Osgood being the weak link because the rest of the team is so strong. He's not really that weak of a link. Analysts have to find something to say is the teams weakness.

Well... this is MAF's 4th complete season only. In those 4 years he has taken Pittsburgh to what will be there 2nd Straight cup appearance. As a 21/22 year-old he had a 40 win season. In those first four complete seasons he has 107 wins. Compare to Patrick Roy first four years with 101 wins and Martin Brodeur with 117 wins. MAF is right up there with these two legends. Was also the #1 DP in 2003 and led Canada to back to back silvers in the WJC. I do agree that Osgood is a very good goalie, but he has benifited greatly by playing on those Red Wings teams. When Osgood was with New York Islanders and St Louis Blues, he was nothing more than a middle of the pack goaltender.

On a bit of a side note from that - It astonishes me to see MAF, Sidney, and Malkin play the way they do when they are my age. Actually, I'm a year older than Crosby. I look around at the people I'm friends with that are in my age bracket (I'm 22 btw), and it just doesn't seem like those guys should be our age.

It's interesting because I think it takes a different kind of goaltender to do well on the Wings. Some guys do better when they are seeing more shots. It gets them in a groove. On the Wings you have to be ready so infrequently that if you have a short attention span you could get lulled to sleep.

This Pens team isn't the same team you saw last year and earlier this year. That team wasn't offensive minded, ex-coach Michael Therrien had them playing conservatively. Since the new coach Bylsma took over, the Pens have been getting TONS of shots compared to the previous years under Therrien. Osgood isn't going to be lulled to sleep, believe me!!!
