Red turf? Really? I think the NCAA should ban colored fields...including Boise State's. It gives the home team (who gets to practice on it) an unfair advantage.

It's a good marketing move for the school.

Not that the blue field had everything to do with it, but ten years ago how many people probably knew of Boise st. as the team with the blue field? I think that combined with taking any weekday game ESPN would give them really put them in the public's conscious.
