The situation now reminds me a lot of a few years ago, when OSU and Michigan were ranked 1 and 2. Michigan lost to OSU but many people thought there should be a rematch in the national championship game. Of course, Florida got it's shot at OSU instead and obliterated them.

But it's funny how all the arguments against Michigan that were brought up back then, like "they had their shot and now it's another team's turn" or "you should win your conference to play for the national championship" don't seem to apply for Alabama now... :?

THe majority of people pushing for a rematch are butt-hurt Bama fans. They got beat in their own house, and they want a chance at redemption. It's a toss up, but even Pro former Bama players are saying Okie St has a good chance at getting in.

Listening to Bama fans cry is kinda annoying. Win your division and you wont need to worry about voters getting you in. You didn't win your division your not playing for the title get over it. Okie State and LSU done deal

I'm not hearing as much crying from Bama fans as you will hear from other fans . Once the first $ changes hands it is not a sport but a business . As a whole nation more will watch OSU vs LSU than a rematch . Just go ahead make the world series THREE games and listen .

They didn't play Auburn, they didn't play Georgia St, they didn't play Miss St, the played the #10 team in the country
and they blew them away. Bama didn't play anyone cause they didn't win their division. How do you not move up
a team that blew up the #10 over a team that didn't do anything?

I think Bama/Boise St will be a nice match up.

Kevin

I think you vs a book would be a good matchup.

I vote book.

I'm hearing more crying from SEC haters than Bama fans.

Exactly. I agree - We should get in but if we don't we only have ourselves to blame for not being able to Kick Field Goals.

Oklahoma State lost to IOWA STATE - seriously that should knock them out.

Oklahoma State ain't that great.

Do you want to see the best 2 teams play or another SEC blowout over a Big 12 team.

I'm a Georgia fan, but believe OK State should play LSU. Wasn't the LSU vs Bama game the "national championship game" and the "game of the century"? Bama lost. Didn't win their division and didn't win their conference. Why should Bama play in the national championship game again and lose again? Ok State will be the next highest ranked conference winner. Bama had their shot. Give the Cowboys their shot, they earned it.

ESPN's BCS Brad is saying that his projections have 'Bama in the Final, but it is probably going to be the Closest margin since this cursed system started in '04...

With this stupid system, it should go without saying that there really is no "right" answer.
So that being the case - I'll just go with what I'd hope to see........and that is Oklahoma st.

To me LSU is far and away the #1 team at this point, and they'll be favored regardless......so to me it's about which matchup creates the least amount of "What if's?".

Alabama played LSU in Alabama and lost. I can certainly see an argument for them being #2, but if they did not make it they have no one to blame but themselves and they already lost to LSU.
If you leave Oklahoma st. out - then you never know how that offense would fare vs. LSU. You never know if a top team from the Big 12 could hang with/beat LSU. Those along with a host of other questions never will be answered, and to me that would be a shame and just another huge example of why this system is so F'd up.

Now maybe LSU smokes Okst. if they played them.....but at least we'd know. 10 years from now no one can say "what would have happened if they played". So that is why I'd go with Okst.

Best way to end the nonsense of the BCS is to put Bama in and let T Boone blow it up which I guarantee he would .

a loss is a loss, it shouldn't be about that but who you beat. OSU beat better teams.

 ::facepalm:: Ok. St has more wins against top 25 teams because those teams don't play teams like teams in the SEC. You are an idiot. So a loss doesent matter? Same amount of wins and losses but 1 teams in a touched conference and there only loss was to Number 1 LSU in OT by a FG. the top 2 teams are LSU and Alabama no doubt!

I'm a homer because I'm an Oklahoma State fan, and being at the game last night was one of the best days I've ever had as a sports fan, but the above statement is brutal. You do realize that the Big 12, not the SEC, was the top ranked conference for the majority of the season right? Yes, the top several teams in the SEC are very, very good, but this year, top to bottom, the Big 12 was deeper, hence the higher conference ranking for most of the year.

I still remember when Boise State did well enough to earn a BCS game and that was my idea too...at least we would know if Boise should be there...

then they won on a hook and ladder and then a statue of liberty play. Best college football game I've ever watched.

Give OK ST a chance. I don't want to see another 9-6 game.

This is the problem with the BCS. It is a system of "what have you done for me lately?" In this case we are one week removed from an absolute beat down of a rival Auburn Tigers team ON THE ROAD. If Oklahoma State hadn't had 2 bye weeks (weeks 5 & 13) because the crappy conference they are in has fallen apart, we wouldn't even have this conversation. Sure they are recently crowned "conference champions"... but where is the rule that says you have to be a conference champion to play for the title? Ok State's loss compared to Alabama's loss is no comparison. Take also into consideration that Ok St. had the loss to an unranked team and had 2 wins where they only won bye single digits (Texas A&M by 1 & K-State by 7). Alabama beat everyone they played by 16 or more except the undisputed number one team in the nation. If Ok State does get in... It will be a massacre.
