I didn't see anything that looked like a Mathews signature. But regardless, any Mathews minor league signature would be incredibly rare I would think.

It's hard to tell what the balls actually are but judging by some of the names, a few things are clear...regarding the possibility of Mathews.

He's definitely not on ball #1 as Mathews was still in high school.
Ball #2 has Chuck Tanner who debuted at some point in the Atlanta in 1951...Mathews played only 37 games in Atlanta in 1951.
It doesn't appear that "Dutch" Dorman managed Mathews so it wouldn't be ball #3.
Johnny Logan and Mathews do not appear to have been teammates in the Minors, so perhaps ball #4 is shot.
He's definitely not on ball #5 - still in high school.

A historical minor league roster resource would be amazing online, but right now, it's just piecing bits of information together.

I know for a fact that 3 of the balls are 1948, 1949, and 1950 Brewers.

Ed Mathews is on the ball signed on the sweet spot by Dixie Walker. Former MLB'ers Jack Dittmer and Chuck Tanner are also on the ball. I believe its the 1951 Atlanta Crackers. I'm looking for a team roster. Mathews is not pictured in any of the photos on the auction.

The other ball in question with Dutch Dorman on the sweet spot I think is the 1947 Hartford Chiefs. Ernie Johnson is also on the ball. I'm also looking for a roster to verify.
