I busted 7 boxes of 98 bowman chrome this weekend- an early Christmas present to myself! 6 were 24 pack Hobby boxes that I picked up this summer, and one was a 20 pack retail box that I picked up off of ebay recently. The retail boxes seem to be extremely rare- I hardly ever see them. That retail box looked like it had been on a shelf in the sun for the past 14 years, as the top of the box was faded from the original purple chrome color to a powder blue!

Here are a few of the highlights:

I beat the odds by a lot in pulling TWO Golden Anniversaries (odds are 1:164 packs). The Norm Hutchins was one and then I hit this beauty, the biggest star I have pulled so far:

Of course I already have a Glavine in my set but I was still pretty excited. I still have never pulled a Golden Anniversary refractor #/5 ( 1:1279 series 1 and 1:1022 series 2). Dang I'd like to fix that!

NICE!

Biggio Ref & Glaus Int Ref as well!

bust some Series 2's as they are $20 a box!

I was pumped on the Glaus international refractor!
I have busted a lot more of series 2...they are cheaper you are right! I got these series 1's for under $20 so I jumped on those. Plus it should help me fill out my complete sets by pairing series 1 with series 2's.

Interesting to see rare cards like the Glavine hiding in packs after all these years.
