He is simply doing the bidding of the Wilpon's. They are the ones that are actually in charge. Minaya just does as he is told.

Agreed. Omar will not be going anywhere. He is the perfect Wilpons puppet. However, he has no morals and should stand up for himself at some point in time. But, I guess I shouldn't expect that much from a guy that barely has a grasp of the English language.

The front office has become a real disgrace.

I know, they do a great job giving the impression that Omar is in charge. The Wilpon's are great at managing the team without fans realizing they are the ones actually making the decisions. Too bad for them that they are pretty poor at managing a MLB roster! They are the opposite of the Steinbrenners somewhat- no one realizes they are calling the shots, and they are pretty crappy at making baseball decisions. They're great businessmen, but poor baseball GMs. Omar is just their public facade, that's why he's given the "vote of confidence."
