Looking for a dozen OMLB Baseballs (type used in games) for autographs. I have bought the last 4 dozen from ebay from 2 different sellers. Every box has 2-3 balls that have stains or are all roughed up. I don't know maybe they buy them as seconds and sell them without saying so, or all cases are like that.

Any leads appreciated!

Thanks again,
Joe

Their prices are incredible if you buy in bulk.I placed a huge order every spring and the service is top notch.

I'm getting a group buy going from there. The group buy might not help you out a whole lot unless you're coming to Arizona, but I believe his prices are the best around, even for a single case. Surely worth checking out. I forget the price per case if you buy one, but if you buy 6 or more - $100. (they aren't in the plastic cubes, but they're new in the box)

It's interesting that you say that I thought I had visual problems when I ordered two dozen baseballs on Ebay. I know I left a negative on one seller about the stains. The other seller had okay balls but some stains.

If the seller is buying wholesale or direct, he can't really do anything about the stains. Rawlings doesn't offer returns on OMLBs with light staining or other small damage. Remember, these aren't made to be perfect white baseballs, they are made for game use. In many cases there aren't damaged baseballs, but certain cases (6 dz per case) do come with quite a few stained/smudged/etc balls.

If you live around an Academy Sports and Outdoors, they have them for either 11.77 or 11.99. It might seem a tad bit steeper than some of the online prices you can get, but you get the cube. Since I used to buy cubes separately for $2-3, I think its a great deal.

I talked to my wax distributor today about this, and he told me that they used to carry them, but that they didn't get any sort of price break at all. Apparently, Rawlings doesn't discount them.

I guess if you own (and thus control) the market on them, you can charge whatever you want.

So if you are looking for deals on OMLBs, be careful.

just ordered 6 dozen from anaconda sports for $99 a dz plus shipping...think shipping came to about $12...but also had a bat order too, so shipping rate might not be true estimate for just baseballs.
