Only one more week until the main college hoops teams start the real games...

Can't wait!! :D

Both of my teams, Georgia Tech and Villanova should be good together for the first time in about 6 years, with Nova looking to compete for the Final 4. Only 5 months until "One Shining Moment"!

I'm not. When I was but a wee lad, I became a big Duke fan mainly because of Grant Hill. I jsut found myself watching Duke whenever I could because of him, and began liking the team. I also followed Hill when he was drafted by the Pistons and through his career to this day. I'm happy to see he's playing some great ball right now, this far into his career (although I wish it was still for the Magic).

I also admired Christian Laettner at the time because I was a center in our peewee basketball league, and he just seemed like a good role model at the time

A .500 record in the Missouri Valley could get them an NIT bid.

Boston University
An NCAA bid (for winning the American East) is not out of the question. If the Terriers do get in, the question of seeding comes into play. I think the highest seeding they have ever gotten was a 14th seed. (Although Vermont, also in the America East, was a 13 seed and beat #4 Syracuse a few years ago.)

and having grown up in southern Indiana...

As for the Indiana Hoosiers, if all the pieces fall into place, I think they can contend for the Big Ten title and perhaps even make the Sweet...Ok, I tried to keep a straight face. The rebulding continues. It will be a long year in Bloomington.

I don't expect too much from UCLA this year. Injuries and losing many players due to early entry in the NBA just kills their roster. But one can always hope.
