One of the Coolest Oppertunities In My Life! WITH UPDATE!

Ok so I have always admired The UFC and MMA, but never had convinced my parents to let me take a shot. Well today I did just that. We talked it over, and I convinced them to let me do it for a while.

Tonight I went and visited the school I most likely will be attending. I am going to begin by learning Tai Kwon Do till I turn 16 (In April) because that is the youngest you can be Then I will begin MMA Training.

The school that I will attend was voted the best in Central PA, and the instructor is in the USA Mixed Martial Arts Hall Of Fame.

Needless to say I amped up to begin!

EDIT: WE CALLED THE PLACE AGAIN TODAY, AND TALKED TO THE MAIN INSTRUCTOR. HE SAID HE WAS WILLING TO ACCEPT ME INTO THE PROGRAM EVEN THOUGH I AM A YEAR OR MORE YOUNGER THAN ALL THE OTHER KIDS WILL BE! I AM SO EXCITED!

Congrats Imac, I like your parents for that fact that no matter how different their kids dreams are, they support them.
I know as a parent, yours are like what? Are you sure? But they still said ok. Congrats to your parents
as well for supporting you in what ever it is you want to do. I support my 2 kids in everything they ask of us
and what ever it is they wan to do.

It was mostly my mom that was the one that was always worried. My dad on the other hand wrestled in High School and College so he did not object to it as much as my protective old lady lol

It's very cool of your parents to let you start training. Not to kill your buzz, but you would be better off learning Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, muay thai, and/or Judo.

The majority of fighters in MMA train in those arts, over Karate, TKD, etc.

That said...enjoy it and be humble. Train hard and keep your mind open.
