That's one of the more incredible sets I've ever seen!!FromKoufaxtoEdwin said:Everyone do themselves a favor and look at this lot http://bid.robertedwardauctions.com/bid ... emid=13110.
Probably the best looking set ever made, and to see it in that condition is just mind boggling. That is one item, where if i had the insane amount of cash needed to buy it, I really wouldn't hesitate too much. I honestly wold rather have this set than a Wagner, and it is a no-brainer for me.
The Stitches in Time are going to be ripe for forgeries as the back says that the card is autographed. It's a real pity since from what I've seen the autograph version never existed and it's a card that many would kill for to complete their ***** League Auto sets.autocut said:They finally listed the Willie Mays unreleased cards they asked me about.

I'm sure it won't happen but if one of the card companies bought these and got them signed it would be pretty sweet. (I assume they could use them in packs, could they not?) The Stitches in Time is a highly collected set and I imagine those would sell really well if they were issued that way.autocut said:Topnotchsy said:The Stitches in Time are going to be ripe for forgeries as the back says that the card is autographed. Yep. Depends on who wins, it could make a mess in the hobby. What I'm just learning is that the Names of the Game, there is an autographed version and none autograph version.
The one i have is from the base set. Guess I watch eBay closely after this auction ends.

Could someone like Razor do it? I know the Fleer name is owned by Upper Deck and I'm not sure how people would take to the idea but it is intriguing.autocut said:Topnotchsy said:I'm sure it won't happen but if one of the card companies bought these and got them signed it would be pretty sweet. Since they are original cards and not reprints, I think UD could do it and release it as a buyback, randomly packed throughout their products.

Trying to get Willie Mays to sign will be the issue.

Expensive. He charges as much as $300 to sign baseballs and jerseys, so contract would be expensive.
