There has been a regular trickle of 1975 minis for the last two decades or so. When I was a kid (in the 80's), the minis sold at a premium over the regular issue, but no longer. These cases are not rare, and likely won't be for the foreseeable future. In fact, the guys on the PSA message boards bought and busted an entire case last year sometime. http://forums.collectors.com/messageview.cfm?catid=11&threadid=721256

Rare as compared to what? How many do you know of that are SEALED? Good for the guys on PSA, I'm not sure that something is rare or is not rare because some guys opened it. I am not sure that anyone said anything about overwhelming rarity. Rare in a sealed form, sure.

They're not rare in that there has been a steady supply of unopened product over the last 20 years. That's why prices have continued to fall and are now below the regular issue.

Good point about the regulars being rarer than the minis in wax form. I've seen unopened mini boxes in the hobby as long as I've been in it, some 35 years. In the earluy 80's mini singles fetched 2x the regulars, now it's more like 1.2x.

Same here, I remember the minis being scorching hot 2 decades ago especially the Brett and Younts.

But like just about everything vintage from the later 60's on, prices have plummeted big time for anything but very high grades.
