That Cowgill is sexy, any reason why you chose him? He seems like he has some potential. ;)

Too much gradient and bubble wrap. :-P

Seriously, though... use a couple less photoshop filters. The layouts, however, are spectacular.

I think they look great. I was wondering if you used any previous cards/sets as inspiration for color or design (as they are very unique)?

Zero Gradient used. Zero bubblewrap? Never heard of a bubblewrap filter. Do they look like they're being shipped?
Actually ZERO filters used.

The bubble wrap was joking (it's a very popular filter amond lesser experienced PSers). I can tell you're pretty good with what you do.
However, it does look like some gradients are used as far as light/dark in different spots on the card. Also, I see the white "haze" used to make items look raised (like push buttons). It just seems too busy. I really liked the Papa John's cards you did... just try to stay a little more simple. It looks like a card set found in magazines... not in packs.

Solid photography but the design is just very busy. I'm a fan of simple (I loved your Papa Johns set). I voted "okay" but I don't want you to take that as an insult.

Ah, I see what you're saying, but I didn't use gradient... or bubblewrap.... is it possible you mean plasticwrap by the way?
I use either inner shadow or satin or both to mimic silver foil...I don't know what anyone else uses.
..and when I present something like this for view on the internet, my goal is to TRY for photo realism...meaning, I want them to look like they've already been printed, ...I want them to look like they've been scanned. The document for print wouldn't have the same look because the name are meant to be in foil on an actual product.

Ok, good example of gradient... the player names.

It can look pretty bad in print.

I didn't use any design for inspiration, but it's obvious I'm inspired by Bowman...or what I think Bowman should be. Oh and thank you.

A gradient is less precise than what you did unless you mask everthing off just right. Plastic wrap is very restrictive and you can never get it to do exactly what you want it to, at least in my experience.

I didn't notice this before, but I like the texture the cards have.

The amount of talent it took to make those is immense.

I'm VERY impressed with the quality of work that you have put into that 'sell sheet'.

That said, it looks very Bowman's Best-esque. (That is, if I saw the sell sheet without any branding, I'd say to myself 'Oh, a new Bowman's Best set came out.')

I can't say that I either like or dislike the card design, I guess I'm indifferent. But like I said, I'm very impressed with the quality of work that went into your sell sheet.

I thought the same thing. Reminded me of a Bowmans Best product.
