As many of you guys know I have been scanning my autograph Yankee card collection. I had this card already in my PC. They are hand numbered on back /1000.

I came accross a trade a few years back on The Bench to acquire another one serial numbered 1000/1000 because I am such a sucker for these types of numbered cards.

It was a few years later when I was scanning these did I notice my 1000/1000 last card in the run did not have the fleer embossed stamp in the auto area.

Do you think this was an oversight? A promo? I am looking for an opinion as to why it's not stamped and coincidentally it being the last one. I have a similar situation with a last run '97 Donruss Millinium Marks David Cone where the ink is blue and the rest of the run I have seen is black.

Sold as part of the bankruptcy sale?

What year did that stuff start showing up? I am thinking I had this card before I really knew about Fleer having cards out there from that sale. I'm remembering the guy I traded with as just a regular collector that I had a lot of trades with for Yankees low end autos and numbered stuff and I remember he wanted a little higher BV because of the cards number. I guess it's possible but he didn't have more of this type of stuff in his trade lists that I remember.

The 5 on eBay and 7 on COMC all have the stamp. I will have to keep an eye out.
