Opinions on grading base chromes?

I was wondering what everyone's opinions were on grading base chromes? Does anyone think it's worth it? Has anyone ever made a profit? Thanks in advance for the help?

The people who do that do huge bulk submissions so the price per card is lower, so instead of spending 15 to get a heyward 9.5 graded, they bulk it for 5 bucks and make money (as an example)

Round up 1,000 cards and get a volume discount (below $5 per card) with BGS....if you have the time you can earn a decent return.
