He's raw... Will and still learning great fundamentals from the future Hall of Famer Ray Lewis. I wouldn't be surprised if he will be the starting LB along with Ray Lewis.

Everyone in Baltimore was puzzled that Kruger didn't play at all after this great game when he made a sack and caught an interception for a TD (as a third-stringer!)...

I caught the video clips of his INT. Nice play. What about Suggs signing a 6 yr deal, will that mean Kruger will remain stuck down on the depth chart? Traded? Or just be a role player for certain downs, certain situations?

From the small amount I've seen of him he looks like he has nice potential. He's a little older than the typical rookie. Might develop along the lines Jarrett Johnson did. Likely not a superstar though.

True. I was a little concerned about his age too. Coming in as a rookie too old just means not that long of a career. I want to find a football player to collect, I really don't care who or what team. I just don't want a major star or someone too old. I can't afford the prices of anyone really good and I want to be able to follow their career for atleast the next decade. I really want to stay with a defensive player, less fan fare less hype and cheaper prices.

My few choices so far have been these guys, I'm still looking so I'll update the list as I go. Any suggestions are welcome.

Clay Matthews (biggest potential of anyone I've picked, might get too expensive)
Tom Zbikowski
Paul Kruger

My biased pick goes to Zbikowski. With the exception of his SP Contenders auto his stuff is fairly cheap and I think he has a ton of potential.

Paid like $6 dlvd for this /28...

Nice card :D I thought about Zbikowski first. Not sure who I think will have the better career or who has the most potential, Kruger or Zbikowski.

I think he can be a very productive player. He's still adjusting to a new position b/c he was a DE in college. Kruger was a big reason why Utah beat Alabama as he was in the their back field for most of the game. I'm not sure why he wasn't given much of shot after the Steelers game but he did show potential. The only position where age is a major concern is RB. Most of the other positions can easily play over 10 years where RB's can slow down after only 7-8 seasons.

To be honest with you, Kruger will always be in the shadow of Ray Lewis. Perhaps he will be more attractive in playing for other team, for example Adalius Thomas (his 1st season with the Patriots). You could collect Kruger cards cheap...

I believe Zbikowski will have a better career. There's 50/50 chance Ed Reed might retire. Rookie LaDarius Webb won't be back til the middle of next season, due to his ACL tear. Fabian Washington (another torn ACL casualty) proved Baltimore fans that he's just not that good. Might be gone next season. Foxworth is getting better, slowly... I won't be surprised if the Ravens draft a cornerback or safety in next Draft for more depth. Zbikowski should be able to start, thus his cards is cheap to buy...

How much longer will Ray be around though? Will it be a few more years (till his new contract is up) or does he keep playing like Seau?

Ray kept repeating that he will be done til he gets another ring... So who knows?

There are other promising LBs on the wings along with Kruger - Gooden, Ellerby, McClain and Burgess...

Tommy Z's cousin is on another site and he collects him pretty aggressively. You may find a tough road with him as he will probably overspend on anything rare.

Decided to collect Paul Kruger exclusively. He's inexpensive enough that I could actually be a Supercollector. Possibly THE supercollector. I've been talking with his agent. He says Paul has 1 rookie game worn jersey and his helmet he wore for 09. He's getting back to me with a price for both. Will definitely need to sell my 3000 hit club signed ball and make a few payments but I think it's worth it. If he winds up being good I would have his rookie game worn jersey and helmet!

Not quitting Palmeiro. Just putting him to the back burner for now. He's not as inexpensive as I would have hoped for being a cheater and liar. When people are demanding $200 for a simple patch card  not only are they dillusional but I don't feel like waiting around for them to see the light. So I'll focus on Kruger for now. Great thing is, this is my first football player I've ever collected. Always been a big baseball fan. So this is new and exciting for me.
