Opinions on Yeicok Calderon - Yankees

Calderon is an outfielder in the New Yankees organization who defected to this country last year and has only 1 rc in 2008
Donruss Elite Extra Edition. Some scouts say that he has as much potential as Rafael Rodriguez so does anyone else think that he is undervalued compared to guys like Rodriguez and Viciedo? I've been picking up his Elite Extra autos/819 for $10-$15 since the set was released and I now have 20 base autos, 5 autos/100 and 3 autos/50. Does anyone else on here collect him? I think that his Elite autos and parallels have huge potential l if he pans out especially because he is in the Yankees organization.

His stuff basically costs the same as Rafael so I don't see how he can be undervalued compared to him.

His Elite Extra autos are still finishing for $5 less on average and his only auto is in Elite. Rodriguez has autos in Elite, Contenders and Prime Cuts.

I was very excited about him when I saw his name on the checklist. Ba had written some good things and obviously having just
One card is a big deal. However I am really concerned that he didn't even make ba's top 30 yankees list.

True but Rodriguez's Elite autos have generally finished from $18-$23, which accounts for the $5 difference that I mentioned. Also, there are less copies of Calderon's auto as it is only #'d /819 while Rodriguez is #'d /999.

I'm anticipating a Chrome auto as well.

With the amount of time it will take for him to put up numbers, I feel he is a little over priced right now. If he doesn't get a chrome auto this year, I will buy then because his prices will more then likely decrease anyway. -JMO

Was Hanley Ramirez on the Redsox depth chart right after he signed with them way back in the day. You have to give these IFA a year or two.

Looks like Hanley was not ranked the year he signed, but that's because he did not play on US soil until 2002, so he's not in the Jaruary 2001 BA top 30 list.

Several of the other guys that signed with Yeicok this year are in their organization's top 30 lists.

Yeicok isn't even in the yanks top FIFTY because he's not on the depth chart.
