MartinFF do you own all those ?

One of the beauties of the Tosoni reds where the guy had all 5. I'm pretty sure they all were graded BGS 9.5. The value in something like that is keeping it as one piece. Has to be the only time something that unique has ever been done in the hobby with owning all 5 reds and having them all be gems. Right up their with JP Hellickson 9.5 rainbow.

I believe it is Flightposite that owned all 7 seven of those Reds and he made a deal with Topps to get them (or two of them anyways) out of the market. There was a lengthy thread on it about a year ago if u search.

I also wanted to mention that there has been a ton of talk on this site lately about Secotes Rondo Exquisite stash where he owns/owned something like 160 of the 225 in print.

While that is an absolutely amazing accomplishment, i wanted to introduce you guys to a stash/hoard that i think is even greater than that and probably the biggest $$$$ modern card day stash of one particular rookie card. There is a collector from Long Island, New York (Logopatchcards from old BMB fame) who owns 27 of the 99 Alexander Ovechkin Cup RCs!!! These cards are $5000 a pop people!!! He owns $130, 000 dollars worth of Ovechkin Cup rookies. That is impressive.

Couldn't find the thread. If someone can find it, bump it up or link it. Would love to see what Topps traded for the extras.

There was a really lengthy thread about it. I have actually brought this up several(and I do mean several) times in the past. But for some reason Flight does not choose to even make a peep about it so I can only assume that he was told not to bring it up again. Which is fair enough. Hopefully he doesn't feel agitated that I or anyone else brings it up though. I don't feel that his name is even important in the matter and from now on...I am going to leave his name out of the discussion(my apologies for bringing it up before). What is important is that these cards are out there. Or were. From what I know....Topps prints extras for replacements. IMO...that is a no-no. I say no dice. Even on something as limited as a super...I say print one and call it a day. There is a lot of money changing hands on chrome parallels and IMO...there needs to be no chance of an extra of anything surfacing. Its horrible business practice and on top of it...it can seriously mess up the value of cards. Either perceived or realized. And it totally kills the idea of a stated print run.

I wonder if the Mark Teixeira RC collector is on this board, and if he has ever sold any of them... (and if not, is he divorced? lol) He may be in a good position to answer this question.
