And I'm loving it! I taught Geno Smith over the summer, and he is the most down to earth, personable guy imaginable. Looks like there may be some records broken tonight if they leave the starters in.

another joke of a BCS Game.

Except for the Rose Bowl, they should make it BCS 1 vs BCS 2 in the National Championship game (which they've done this year), BCS 3 vs BCS 4 in one BCS Bowl, BCS 5 vs BCS 6 in another BCS bowl and BCS 7 vs BCS 8 in another BCS bowl.

None of the teams in this blowout were BCS ranked higher than 15! I can't see a reason for the BCS other than to find the top 2 teams based on a conglomeration of polls and come up with a best result short of an actual playoff system.

OSU/Stanford is the only other legit BCS bowl game this year, IMHO.

Coaches that treat their bowl games as a prize will quickly be unemployed. I feel bad for Dabo but maybe this will be a much needed wake up call. He needs to concentrate on defensive players and maybe coaches as well.

Say what you will, but a Alabama vs LSU game is going to be 1000x's more intriguing then just about every BCS Bowl this year. Bama/LSU will have to show the world of college football how the sport should be played.

I'm only watching it because it's a legit college football title game with the BCS 1 and 2 meeting up. I hope it's more than just 5 FG's (yawn). I'd be happy if there are 3-4 combined TD's in the game.

Funniest thing I have read this year. Have you even watched other bowl games this year?

LSU 13 Alabama 12 the lone touchdown will be on defense or special teams.

Lsu having to face a legitimate QB - getting to see how someone like Luck would fare against that defense would be infinitely more intriguing to me.

As it stands I have little interest in the "title game"....in this screwed up system they mine as well have already given the championship to LSU. They played an insane schedule, have been by far the most impressive team, and they already beat Alabama in Alabama.

What a retarded statement.

And what is wrong with my statement ? Defense isn't important ? Watching a game like the Baylor and Clemson game is not fun. The game was over at half time.

Truth be told, the bowl system has outlived its usefulness and excitement and unless some fix is found, they should be discontinued.

Baylor and Clemson did not play. I enjoyed Baylor/Washington quite a bit as there wasn't a lot of 3 and outs in the game. Lots of offense and lots of excitement up to the very end. I didn't watch Clemson/West Virginia because I expect a BCS bowl to feature some of the best ranked teams instead of mediocre ranked teams. The matchup of BCS 15 and BCS 23, it should have been more of a Maaco, Poinsettia, or whatever early bowl season game than a BCS bowl week game.
