Well guys, it was put up or shut up time for me today and put some money down on Oregon. I have been talking big about the Ducks all year and being from the southeast, SEC is king here so.. How do you think it will go?

I'm hoping it'll be as good as the 2006 Rose Bowl

I wish all the Bowls were played in the same Calender year or there was some standard way of referencing games. Was that the 2005 Rosebowl or the 2006 Rosebowl?

Bowls should be referenced by the season they conclude rather than the year they take place.

It's sort of blows my mind that there's been two good games in the history of the BCS. Either one team is always clearly better or we're doing a piss poor job of picking the best teams.

It was more of a personal put up or shut up.. But the way the SEC has looked so far...

I'm talking about the USC/Texas game from the 2005 season. Although the 2004 season Michigan/Texas game was actually better

When I watch College Football, I disregard my obsession with well-played, fundamental football and simply cheer for excitement. I like my pro-football to be well executed and lose my brain at stupid plays because they're pros but when it comes to college football I love chaos and exciting games.

That UM/UT game was absolutely brilliant and had everything. Vince Young was running wild. Both teams had insane players but some huge gaps..

Yah, that was a great game.

My head says Auburn, but I just gotta feeling they're going to make some mistakes and my Heart is saying Oregon. It's a nuetral opinion, I don't root for either team.

Hope this game is good, because the rest of this bowl season has totally sucked.
These might be the worst matchups in recent history...

I'm leaning toward Oregon.
Think they may be the more complete team. Think it should be a great, competitive game though either way.

Auburn doesn't have the defensive talent that Stanford does...and you saw what UO did to Stanford's D in Eugene earlier this year. I think it will be high scoring and likely will come down to which defense makes more plays....having said that I believe Oregon's defense is better and more prepared for what they are about to see than Auburns.

I know I'm a little biased, but I feel like the storyline will be Auburn's run defense. They have shut down running games well all season, and I feel like that will be the deciding factor.

I don't really have a horse in the race, but I will be cheering for Oregon and think they'll win. Either way, I think it will be a fun game to watch, and agree with those who have said the bowl match ups have sucked this year.
