Attended Orioles Fanfest today and had a very good time. Place was absolutely packed for the entire event. The autograph lines for Wieters and Matusz were absolute bedlam, I didn't even try at all. Interestingly, Jim Palmer wandered through the crowd and streets basically unnoticed. When Palmer and Boog Powell were stopped, they were very enthusiastic to give autographs.
The Fan Forums were excellent this year. The first panel consisted of Wieters, Reimold, Bergesen, Matusz and Tillman. Very nice and forthright young men who have a great baseball IQ. Nick Markakis sported an absolutely enormous beard and says he hadn't shaved since the final game. While the majority of the player's were dressed like frat boys who threw on some clothes the morning after a bender, it was nice to see Adam Jones dressed sharply in a full suit.
Had an amazing time touring the clubhouse and went down to the dugout. The memorabilia sale was top notch, although all of the good names had been picked through by the time I arrived. It was also very nice to see many former ***** Leaguer signing for free. Tons of free stuff and nice to see the 1970 Orioles reunion. The signing of Tejada went through the crowd like wild fire. An impressive event, but the autograph lines could have been managed much better.

P.S. The most beautiful woman in professional sports, Amber Theoharis, was there and looked amazing! Even better, she knows a heckuva lot about the game and is very bright.....not just eye candy.
