I still don't think they land him but it'll be interesting to see who they give up if they do. I would think a prospect like Schoop would be in there as well as a unproven/high potential player like Arrieta or Matusz would be in there as well. Two weeks ago I would've said Tillman but how he pitched in AAA the past couple weeks plus his start vs Seattle, I would like to see how that turns out.

People look at Matusz and Arrieta's numbers are immediately would scoff but Arrieta has some seriously good stuff in his arsenal. He's just really inconsistent.

With
Chris Tillman, and it's about Jake Arrieta was sent to the Minors
So they could use Greinke

I wonder if Greinke would enjoy the Baltimore scene enough to offer a discount in the off-season...

Pretty risky to throw too much at Milwaukee for him IMO. Should be interesting to see how it turns out.

They won't give too much up. I believe Milwaukee knows the situation they are in. It's either mid-risk trade or risk him walking at the end of the year.

I think something like Arrieta/Matusz, Schoop/Delmonico, and a low level power arm would get it done.

I disagree, I think Milwaukee gets a ton for him. Look at Melvins past.

I think he goes to the Rangers. Milwaukee just sent a handful of scouts down to the Rangers farm system.

It's possible he goes to the Rangers. It's highly possible he doesn't go to the Orioles. I could see a 4 for 1 deal coming from the O's but it won't be much more than what I laid out already. Machado and Dylan Bundy will not be involved in that trade. It'll be 1 pitcher that can immediately slip into their rotation - one with high potential (Arrieta, Matusz, Tillman, etc.), a highly ranked prospect not named Machado/Bundy (Schoop, Avery, Hoes), and two AA or lower prospects, I suspect one being a power arm (someone like Dan Klein or Clayton Schrader). Maybe Parker Bridwell?

What I completely forgot which might help get a trade done is Rick Kranitz being the pitching coach of the Brewers. He KNOWS the true potential of Arrieta, Matusz (remember Matusz was one of the best pitchers in the AL the second half of 2010 when Kranitz was the pitching coach for the Orioles), Britton, etc. He might have a lot of advice to give the GM of the Brewers

I think the Brewers might hold out as long as possible and the team the ends up making the deal won't be a first place team like Texas, but a team that is barely holding on or making a charge for a play-off spot (I guess, with what LAA is doing, that still could be Texas).

We do not need Schoop, we need Machado or Bundy, but would love Matusz to replace Wolf as our Lefty in the rotation for the future. Then Lucroy can catch him and play 140 games a year. I still think its Texas as they can send us Olt or Profar and a Pitcher.

Those are the 2 main guys Ive been hearing. I could see a pitcher like Ramirez in the deal also. I know a lot of people are saying that Texas would never do this but for a team that has lost in the dance 2 years in a row I could see Ryan pulling the trigger.

There isn't a snowballs chance in hell that Texas gives up Profar for what could very well be a rental. Olt, however, is still an excellent option

I don't see the deal happening without Profar. Its like Baltimore pursuing him, its going to have to include Machado. There are plenty of teams that will be offering a lot for him.

Do you really think a team is going to give up a top 5 prospect in all of baseball for a possible half year rental? LOL

Maybe the Brewers will take Freddy Garcia and Darnell McDonald!

There will not be plenty of teams offering a player with Profar and Machado's ceiling, no.

Wow you Brewers fans are really dreaming big. Do you really think a team is going to give up their top prospects in the farm, arguably in the game for a half year rental? LOL
