has for entering by house -BEWARE - how safe are you with a gun safe ? well guns not there ! as for a knife i don't think a korean war bayonet wound would look good -yes it is sharp .
warning to all DO NOT KEEP PHONES NEAR DOORS ! this can put you at high risk during B/E

I had someone break into my house once. I heard him downstairs, so I waited patiently.

He got several things out, while I was watching. I knew he couldn't stop, so he came upstairs to get more.

I stabbed him once and I held the knife to his throat while he called 911 from his cell phone to tell them about the break in.

The police thought it was pretty funny that I made him call.

i honestly cant see not killing anyone i found in my house. you dont know why they are there always, they could be robbers or killers or kidnappers. 2 out of 3 deserve to die, and i wouldnt take the chance it was the 3rd one. new hampshire has that law where you can kill an intruder, even if on your property, basically no questions asked as long as it is a legit intruder. i am a single dad with a 16 year old daughter, so i am glad nothing has ever happened cus i really cant imagine not going nuts if i came across someone in my house.

I sleep with bats within arm's reach. :) And a big dog.

I have two big dogs but they would help much... lick them to death and wag their buts.

My dog is the same way, but she would at least bark and wake me up!

Mine are crate trained, so they probably wouldnt help even that much.

Eh, be lucky you didn't get a firearm stolen from you. My truck got broken in to, my Glock .40 got stolen, and it was used in a bank robbery three hours later (before I could file a police report).

I opened my apartment door to a dozen cops sitting there with guns drawn because they thought I robbed the bank. Not fun times

Our garage was broken into once, not the smartest group of thieves, it was 10 o'clock at night, and half the lights in our house were still on so I dont know exactly how they expected to not get caught....

We have two chiuaus and I get barked at every time I enter the house so I seriously doubt anyone would get past the screen door without me hearing them.Then...its shotgun time. And if I am not home...my wife knows how to use it and is a better shot than I am so I see it being a lose lose for whoever breaks in.

My Dad's truck got broken into, the window was shattered but nothing valuable was stolen. My Dad had a bunch of perscription medicine bottles with change in them and the thief(s) probably thought they were drugs. Because the next morning we found the bottles opened up, and nothing else was really messed with.

Um WOW.

I just cannot stand someone invading my privacy and trying to take control of my life. That is what fear does, it gives them control.

David

David just got two cool points! Not that he needed any more.

Sorry to hear about your misfortune.

My wife's car was stolen over the summer. I haven't been that pissed off in a while.

They found the card, but the jerks took the battery, the radiator, a bunch of stuff from the trunk and they slashed all four tires. The car was totaled. Progressive was great about the whole thing, but it's just the balls it takes to just TAKE something that wasn't theirs.

Dude awesome. Glad to see someone believes in protecting their space and family. I got serious lead for anyone dumb enough to come around my house.

I once woke up to find My Mustang that i later sold sitting on 4 rocks ( My rocks ofcourse ).
All 4 wheels gone and the neon lights underneath busted out from the jacks the used.

The bad thing was one of my neighbors saw someone doing it and thought it was me changing a tire at 3 in the morning.
Luckily i Had the stock rims and tires in the basement.
But it still really pissed me off cause i only had them for about 2 weeks

Out of all the people on this boards I would never think you would do that. I don't think it is wrong, actually I think it is awesome, but I just never thought you would do that lol. Nice!

I didn't meant to freak some people out by my post. I used to be quite different. I've been stabbed, sliced, shot at, etc. To protect my family, I would kill someone.
