OT: Great ESPN article any dog owner should read

You know, I was fine. Welling up a bit, but handling it. Then I read this: "The part that made me sad happened three mornings later ... when my wife was carrying him downstairs again and he didn't say anything."

We lost one of our Spring Spaniels almost two years ago and I still get a little teary when I think about her not being around.

Here are the five dogs we have right now:

Grady, my wife's service dog.

Caden, service dog-in-training.

Goblin

Thunder

Skiddy

Wow, if that wasn't a great read for anyone, dog owner or not, I dont know what else would be. I live alone with these 2:

Crystal: just turned 6 yrs old Dec. 29th.

and:

Teasha: will be 3 on March 2nd.

If it weren't for these 2, I would be in the ole rubber suit by now. I also own and operate a canine boarding "hotel" as I call it. I totally relate to this story, and would be absolutely crushed if anything happened to either of them. My daughter actually gets upset with me when I tell people that I treat them as good as I do my own kids, and are better behaved than they were. But she knows that when the time comes, the 3 of us(2 dogs and me) will be buried together as that is one of biggest wants when I pass. My daughter agreed to it as well after she realized how close we were.

Anyway, thanks for a great read.
