This is a super-nitpick, but it bugs me when people put "first on ebay" in their auction titles. Like it means something. What really irks me is when they write that, but are wrong. More than once I've written to someone to say that a copy of card X actually sold on such a day for such a price, once it was even still searchable by item number. Does anyone ever thank me for being so diligent in pointing out the error in their auctions? No.

I agree. Never went to the trouble of backsearching to see if the statement was valid, but it seems kinda stupid to put that in the auction title. It bugs me too.

I hate this worse... people that promote their AUCTIONS as "ONLY $.99!". It's an AUCTION, it most likely will not be "only" $.99 after all is said and done.

None of this stuff "bothers" me but I think it is somewhat foolish to waste your title character's by adding some of this stuff...You would think they would use the character's wisely by entering searchable key word's to bring in more "hit's" :?

My nitpicky thing is when people put "only BGS 9.5" or something like that, when they should really be adding "..so far" or "..right now" to the end of it. Unless it's a 1/1 or the entire print run has been graded, there's always a chance there's another copy out there waiting to get graded.

I could probably go on for pages about the unneccesary crap that people put in listings, but I'll give my top 5

5. L@@K!! - I don't think anybody searches eBay for L@@K. I hope not anyway.
4. 25/25 = 1/1! - This is just stupid crap, all day every day.
3. SEXY!, HOT!, et al. - A card is not sexy. Nobody enters that as a search term for cards either.
2. SGC 96 = BGS 9.5 - No it doesn't. It equals Second-rate Grading Company 96.
1. BV = $75 - It's only gonna sell for what people bid it up to. I don't give a ra what a group of good ole boys in TX say it's worth.
