Sorry to hear about your loss. I have 2 dogs myself and fortunately they have both been healthy so far. My wife wants to go see Marley & Me this weekend but I know I'm not going to make it out of the theatre without crying so I'm reluctant to go.

Very sorry to hear.....we lost our bassett/beagle mix several years ago and it was a very sad day. We burried "Freddy" in the back yard wrapped in his favorite rug.

Hopefully your family can find consolation in the many memories you must have.

I lost my dog, Randi, on Christmas eve also. (96)
Really bad with the timing, but I figured she got to spend her first Christmas running around in doggie heaven.

Very sorry about your loss. Losing a pet is like losing a family member, and to lose them during the holidays is especially tough. You made the right decision, though.

. I know the feeling, My parents had my first dog before I was born, so I grew up with her. We had to put her down when I was a sophomore in high school(this was about four years ago), I still miss her all the time.
