was a gut punch when i heard this. my fav driver. talented lots hated him. he autograph one of my hats at Pocono years ago.

According to reports, he Had some kinda episode Weds in the simulator. Was coughing up blood.

Last interview after win in Truck Series on Sat. He said (summary): “You gotta cherish every win. Never know when it’ll be your last.”

I am happy to have landed the last card (his) I needed for this set a few months ago. Sorry to hear of his passing. Not much of a race fan, but I felt I needed to complete the set, 2006 Kellogg's All-Stars

i agree, the race to both list and purchase autographs and even regular unsigned cards and memorabilia recently deceased people is an interesting phenomenon. I don't fault anyone for selling or buying at that time, although selling is taking advantage of a prime market and buying then is just paying more than you had to.
