OT - New Year's Plans!

What's everyone got in mind this year? I'll be hitting Atlantic City, as it has become tradition with my friends...this is the fourth year we'll be doing this I believe. Lots of hold'em and lots of blackjack on tap. Leaving tonight. What about you guys?

New Years eve boring night of getting Thai food ( thai restaurnats are dead will Chinese are so crowded) and watching a movie at home

Packing luggage and mountain bikes into my struck. Heading to Monterey, CA for three nights on new years day. We want to get an early start in the monging as it is approximately four hours to get there and we want to be there in time to watch the Rose Bowl at the Brew Pub.

I am off tomorrow and have been trying to convince the g/f to go down to AC...live in nortern NJ..so its about a 1:45-2hr ride.

The g/f HATES that I gamble...so it might be dinner at a local restaurant...oh well

I've neve really "celebrated" New Years eve. I just don't see the big deal. That said, it will be just another day in our house. Dinner w/ he wife and girls and whatever is on HBO, SHO or Encore or Max. Some good movie has to be on

I was born and raised there.....my folks and the in-laws are still there so I'm there a whole lot (5 hr. drive away).

Peppermill is real nice and has great food....they usually have a pretty big New Year's party....


I would absolutely LOVE to be in Reno this New Year's eve but for different reasons....

Not 100% sure yet.

May hit up a local city (Nurnberg probably), get hammered with some friends and have a good time galavanting around the city.

If not, I will be in my barracks room, just hanging out. Probably scanning more of the cards I brought back with me and playing some GH:World Tour, Madden 09 and COD4.

So, it will either be insanely fun for me or a little boring, but I don't really care either way.

Staying at home avoiding the idiots on the road, plus getting up early as I have tickets to the Rose Bowl.
Anthony K, where are you stationed? I was in Stuttgart for 2 years, Nunberg 1 and then finished my tour in Garmisch. That Christmas market in Nurnberg is killer, good brews and that hot wine they serve...man I miss it there.

We'll be doing what we've done for the last couple of years. We get together with some friends who have kids about the same age as ours where we'll eat drink and be merry 'til midnight. Then all the kids bed down for a sleepover and the wife and I come home to ring in the New Year in slightly more adult fashion.

Yea my G/F did too until I started spending alot of my winnings on her. Now she doesn't mind, and knows that if I win, she is going to get something out of it.

For me just hanging out at home with some buddies watchin movies, amd drink a lil bit. Not too extravagent but I enjoy it.
