under the address bar, there is a line with most visited, getting started, latest headlines. is there a way to get rid of this?

it is a toolbar of some sort


You need to identify the toolbar before you can shut it off

perhaps there is some information under view --> toolbars

View -- Toolbars -- Customize -- Drag 'em outta there!
