Finally decided to buy a scanner because I'm tired of spending my nights at the office scanning stuff.

A few things I'm looking for: Good picture quality. I DO NOT want one of those scanners that scans refractors all trippy with wavy lines. I'd also like one that scans my cards the same friggin size every time I scan. The one at my office is never consistent and I don't like resizing.

I'd rather have an HP, because that's what I'm familiar with. And all I need is a scanner, not one of those all in one printer thingies. Don't really have a budget in mind but I'd like to pick up a blu ray movie and a scanner and get change back from a $100

Any recommendations?

If you are looking for great quality and also all around usefulness, get an HP Photosmart All-in-one. I have the 2610xi. It scans, faxes, prints, and copies. Great to have all of those at home. The software is easy to use and install, plus it scans in super high quality. See some of the cards inmy bucket. All were scanned using it. Once you initially scan a bunch of cards, a preview window comes up and lets you adjust the scan qualities before you actually scan. So if you want lo res, or black & white, or ultra high res, or whatever, then you can do it before you scan instead of having to then go into photoshop to edit them. Anyway that's what I use. Good luck!
