The next 2 I'm posting together because they are done in the same way. First you lay down a large area of charcoal. Then, using a kneaded eraser, you lift up the light parts of the picture. It's kind of a trip to fill in the light parts instead of the shadows

Picture012-1.jpg

15.5" x 12.5" still life of a cow's skull (art teachers were hunters and had a lot of random skulls, antlers, and animal busts that we drew)

Picture022.jpg

10" x 15" I always thought this girl just looked evil somehow :P

This picture is done on iteresting paper. The outer layer is black with white underneath. The picture is done with a razor blade to scratch off the outer black layer revealing the white underneath.

Picture020.jpg

8.5" x 11"

Here's the last 2 pics.....we'll end with still lifes in pencil since that is the current medium I've been using

Picture005.jpg

Picture007.jpg

All of that was done by '98.......didn't really do much artistically since then until:

I drew that in high school

I also painted a nude portrait that Kathy Bates purchased for $5k. Of course, my HS art department got the cash. I didn't see a damn cent of that

Im glad i reread that. When i first read it i thought you said you painted a nude portrait of Kathy Bates. Not something you want to think about before bed.
