XRC and vending boxes were mentioned so I'll go with "Superstar Combos", those cards Fleer had at the end of the sets in the mid 80s.

They were kinda lame pics from around BP or the AS game, but as a kid, I thought they were cool, seeing two bigger-than life Superstars in the same photo and on the same card.

I remember seeing people in my local Ann & Hope (Rhode Island chain similar to KMart) poking holes in the 1992 Fleer jumbos looking for the Rookie Sensations.
