Hey there everyone, I just wanted to post this to anyone whom is somewhat local in the Houston area (it is in the Pasadena/Deer Park) as I just found out that the Houston Texans starting Tight-End: Owen Daniels will be making an appearance at a local WhataBurger tommorrow at 11am-12pm! I'm not certain if he'll be signing (as I just found out of the appearance) but the Whataburger manager said Owen will be stationed up front at the restraunt, while there will be 2 Texan Cheerleaders working the drive through! :D I'm pretty excited about the cheerleaders too! ;) :P

Anyhow, if you're local & interested in more information then PM me & I'll try to answer your questions!

I love OD. He's got plenty of free time since he went on IR. It really crippled my fantasy team. I picked him with my UW-homer heart, but he was kicking ass as a TE.

If anyone goes and wouldn't mind getting an extra auto, you could tell him it's from a big fan from Wisconsin.

I'll definitely try to get you one Hive, but first on my "gotta get for list" is my Mom (she turns the BIG 60 on the 17th, this Thursday, & O.D. is her favorite player; so I thought this was REALLY neat when I found out about it today- not but 3 or so days away from her 6oth B-day). If he'll sign several item's then one is your's brother! :D

Hey bud, sorry that I wasn't able to get anything for ya signed bud (they were allowing 1 item per person to allow everyone to be able to get something- there were quite a bit of people, I was kinda shocked).

I ended up going to Wal-Mart (right next door to the Whata-Burger he was signing at) & purchasing one of those "Talking/Singing" B-Day card's for Owen Daniels to sign for my Mom's 60th B-day tommorrow... There were a ton of PR personnel & constable's there (as well as 2 Texans cheerleaders..WHEW, some good looker's too! ;) :D ) & many of them surrounding Daniel's, as well as Owen himself, got a good laugh out of the idea of signing a B-Day card that sang! Everyone got real quiet when Owen openned up the card (so they could hear it) & they all burst out with laughter at it ....It was pretty frickin cool & he wrote: "To Sydney, Happy 60th Birthday. Go Texans!" & then signed his name real big. When I initially handed Owen the card & explained what it was for, the head PR lady came over & was telling me how good of a son I was (I turned red as everyone stared at me going "Awwwwww" ).

Anyhow, I'll get a scan of it up after I give it to her tommorrow (he's her favorite player so I think it'll go over well). Once again Hive, I apologize that I couldn't get 1 for ya brother; I would've if I could've (I even had a case with several different O.D. rc cards in my pocket ready to sign :? ).
Take care all, Dave. :D

Awwwww!

That's an awesome story, and an awesome thing to do for your mom. I'll bet Owen Daniels will remember you in the future too for doing something like that.

Sounds like the perfect gift! It's little things like going and getting a b-day card signed that really show people you care.
