I don't understand why this cards sales are so up and down. I ended my auction on Sunday night and it sold for $31. One ends last night and sells for $61. No signs of shilling but its unbelievable how this other card sold for double what mine sold. I thought Sundays are the best night to end auctions. I think I'm going to try ending auctions on Thursday.

It's actually the opposite for me. When I was buying cards, it seems as though I would be the one winning the ones that end higher and then a few days later, one would sell for almost half the price. Makes no sense.

What burns me is that I had 30 watchers on it. I know not all of them planned on bidding but still that's a lot.

I hear ya man. That's just part of buying/selling on ebay. It's all about who "sees" your auction and if they remember to bid or not. In your case, it's probably the person buying the Sandoval cards forgot to snipe or decided his funds were too low to bid etc. etc. etc.

I'm sure you've had cards that go surprisingly more than expected...so it all evens out at the end!

speaking of a Pablo Elite auto rant....I purchased the Status /5 auto last year before season started for $200. Held it for awhile and he wasn't producing so I got impatient and listed it. It sold for $230 and the very next week is when he blew up and base /819 autos were getting around $70. Talk about a kick in the pants.

How about this: is Sunday getting too crowded to list stuff for those of us that are a bit more savy?

Figure that most MLB games are day games and people might tune out ata bout the same time we all end listings; say 7pm or so.

Also figure that the "economy" is getting looser and there may be more buying. More buyers means more sellers and a more crowded marketplace overall.

Maybe Monday is the new Sunday.

Also, you'll never have this happen on a BIN, assuming you know what you have.

I usually try to avoid Sunday nights, actually, figuring that's when a TON of auctions end, plus family time, etc. I may be off base, but I've tried ending auctions near the end of the work day (that's when my internet activity ramps up!) on Mondays and Thursdays. At least in my office, we don't really ramp up production until Tuesday, and by Friday we do everything we can to leave early. Just my two cents, although it seems more random than anything else.

That's true, but it still hurts to see it go that low.
