When Cuddy got traded from the Twinkies I was crushed. First and foremost i'm a Twins fan but only sold doubles of Cuddyer. He is still the fan friendly hard working player now that he was with the Twins and that won't change. It was solidified that i'm keep Cuddy cards when he took Killebrews number with the rockies. The person I actually most collect. Good luck mate and hey you still have Konerko who if I was a White Sox fan would be a HUGE fan of. He is the kind of guy any team would be lucky to have and in many ways similar to Cuddyer. I have thought about starting to collect him even though he is a White Sock.

You know Cuddyer was a free agent, correct? So it's not as if it wasn't his choice to leave for Colorado.

Ya all the same to me but your right we got picks for him so it was like a trade not signing him for how much he actually wanted and I realize it was a decent deal overall after getting Willingham. Still all the same like Joe Nathan; Cuddyer was the MVP of our team, not Joe or Justin.

What happens when your favorite player on your team gets traded? Do you still collect the player?
I am now having a hard time on deciding what to do with my Quentin Collection.

My favorite player growing up was Ken Caminiti. I collect him in any uniform. Everybody else that I collect, only in a Padres uniform.

I am a huge Carlos Quentin fan and collector, just check out my bucket.
I knew this day would come and I am a little dissappointed in this deal. Trading a Beast of a hitter at times for 2 prospects that are not on the top ten list. The Sox can still contend in this division. I can see trading Quentin to make a spot in the outfield for Dayan Viciedo. The outfield will potentially be DeAza, Rios and Viciedo. I wouldn't call what Kenny Williams is "Rebuilding" even though he called it that but many other Sox Staff and sources say they are not "Rebuilding" but rather re-tooling.

I feel your pain, I'm going through the same thing w Latos. Since he is the first guy I started collecting since coming back to the hobby and since I have a decent collection, I think I'm going to stick with it. Maybe not drop the money on the higher end cards but still pursue the autos and SPs. The problem is, the Padres don't have another franchise player to collect. Prospects, prospects, prospects.

I also feel your pain lol. I built up a pretty good collection of Latos auto and gu cards. Sucks when you don't have a franchise player. This is why I mainly collect our hall of famers Gwynn and Hoffman.
