Thanks for the link. Any idea who is going to be there as far as players? I'm possibly debating on driving down from Irvine for this.

No idea who will be available for signing. But there is a phone number you can call. Maybe they can shed some light. This was in the confirmation email I got:

"If you have additional questions regarding the Padres Open House please call a Padres sales representative at (619) 795-5555 and select option 2."

Have you heard any information about FriarFest?

Your Padres are excited to host a special FanFest on Saturday, February 13 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at PETCO Park. Bring the family out for a fun day at the ballpark!

Here are some of the exciting festivities:

* Padres players and coaches will be signing autographs (Times TBD).
* Players scheduled to appear include Mike Adams, Heath Bell, Kyle Blanks, Greg Burke, Kevin Correia, Adrian Gonzalez, Luke Gregerson, Chase Headley, Nick Hundley, Mat Latos, Aaron Poreda, Clayton Richard, Tim Stauffer, Joe Thatcher and Will Venable. (Players subject to change)
* Fans will be able to tour the Padres Clubhouse, run the bases and pitch in the bullpen.
* Fans will also have the exclusive opportunity to purchase game-used jerseys, batting helmets and various one-of-a-kind items at the Padres Garage Sale, with proceeds benefiting the Padres Foundation for Children.
* Concessions, merchandise and games for the kids will be also available.

More details coming soon!

Cool! I can't go to the Open House--prior engagement. But that FanFest will be a must for me. A nice warm up before my weekend at Spring Training.

Venable is gonna be there, sick!

If you want to chat him up, tell him you're a Princeton basketball fan. Too bad I'm not in Cali, I'd like to finally meet him (although he did get me free tix to a game last season!)

Do you have any extra Latos or Blanks debut tickets we could work out a deal for?

I never had any Latos, and the 4 Blanks MLB ticket stubs I already have signed (3 I got certified through PSA/DNA, and the 4th I decided not to get authenticated because it had creases)

You're welcome to the 4th Blanks I got signed, though. It's creased pretty bad, but it's a signed MLB Debut Ticket stub! I'll trade it to you for some Padres 2009 Topps 206 cards and/or Padres 2009 Topps Heritage Update cards... deal?

I'll have to go to a couple shows to find some to trade with you then. But yes crease or no crease i'm interested.

Better yet tell him you're a San Rafael basketball fan.
