Man, after seeing the Jordan sell for $1700, I knew I wanted this JETER, but OMG, this card is the most amazing insert I have ever seen!

I have seen a ton of refractors, but none quite like this. All the colors dancing and spinning, this card is FRICKIN AWESOME!

I have been happy and upset with cards after recieving them, but never as surprised as this one....If you collect any inserts and don't have a "precious gems" yet, do yourself a favor...and if you haven't got any 90s inserts, and have thought about it, start with one of these, YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED!

I DIDN'T EVEN KNOW IT WAS A REFRACTOR UNTIL I RECIEVED IT?!

Awesome looking card. Congrats on the fantastic pick up. I'm still looking for the Walker.

I wonder how many are out there, where people don't know what they even have....i would probably search for metal universe too...they may not know they are called "precious gems".

Nice BIN you currently have up.

And is it 1997 or 1998?

Basketball and Hockey do 1997-98 2003-04.... baseball is 1997 1998 2003 2004

I'm pretty sure he has the 1998 version.

I hate to rain on your parade, but that auction is nuts. The baseball set has nothing on the basketball set, even if it is a player like Jeter.

The price you paid $90 is about the market on that card, with Nomo and Griffey leading the way in terms of highest priced singles. Burbank has stars in the same class as Jeter listed between $50-70 per, and I am willing to bet their highest listing (not named Nomo or Griffey) was Ripken @ roughly $150.

Keep the pimp hand strong!

Yeah, we know, real prospectors can only notice first-year prospect cards ;)

Every once in a while I've been able to find these Precious Metal Gems in dollar boxes at shows. Great looking cards, but not my favorites.

Just curious what are your favorite 90s inserts?
Any other super nice ones besides the crusades (have a few) and Flair legends (have a few) that you really like?

BTW, the price obviously is ridiculous, as my ichiro and griffey tiffany, but I have sold a few cards with ridiculously high prices so whatever works. If I list 10 cards at extremely high prices, and someone offers a nice $ for even one of them, believe me it pays for the .35 month long listing fees....made $500 on my last card...

My manicure, hey, I have seen worse

Obviously I don't expect it to sell for anywhere near that, and most likely it won't ever sell, but I do have an auto-sell with a $300 offer, and auto decline at anything below that....so it's not like I am anxious to sell it, but everything has it's price. Eventually, I plan on putting my entire collection up on ebay with ridiculously high prices....someone has to beat burbank in crazy high prices...
