If the rumors are true, Panini has already or will be buying Donruss. For me, I hate to see this as Donruss was my #1 brand and not knowing how well Panini will carry them is a bit worrisome. Do you think that sales of older Donruss cards will soften with this news or do you see no change at all?

I think it might really depend on how the future Pannini-Donruss cards would be received. If they are junk, than all former Donruss cards would fall. If the Donruss brand would be discontinued, they would fall. If Pannini-Donruss finds success, then the past Donruss items will see no real change, other than the norm. This is all just my opinion based on nothing but whatever rolls out of my head, so what do I know? Lol.

I would be pissed. DLP is the best overall company IMO.

YOU SIR have been thanked! I love the look of Donruss and Playoff and Leaf to name a few! I think UD and Topps have gone WAY off the deep end! Especially some of the higher-end cards that either I own or others have shared. DLP looks a hell of a lot better! I hope Pannini can bring them out and not drag them down!

I just don't care anymore to be honest. Regardless of who has what rights, etc I just won't buy anything that doesn't "catch my eye". Nothing changes. If Panini figures out how to destroy DLP, then so be it. Yeah, that would suck but it is what it is.

Something to think about though- even if Panini does acquire DLP, that doesn't necessarily mean that the DLP design team and others will be canned. I'll take a wait and watch approach personally.

I don't think it will matter, unless they bring in their crappy photographers they will be fine.
