That would be one of these right?

CASE HITS
NBA Rookie Photo Shoot on-card Autograph Card or
(1) of the following Autographs: Blake Griffin, Jerry West or Bob Cousy

So that would be one per 20 box case on average.
Not sure how many were in the checklist.....but I suppose it does make them pretty rare. Especially since I don't think people were busting base Panini by the case, and I think it was geared toward retail anyway, so that may make them even tougher to come by.
I know in one of the recent posts where someone is tracking Griffin cards - they had only one of those for him that's sold recently and it was $900....so from that example, they do seem to be selling way above typical rc auto's.

I there are are two versions of these cards. The one with the stamp is the rare one. Im not for sure on this..but id do some homework to figure out the difference. Here is a pic of the next day signature of Blake. Notice the stamp on it..

I think that's simply the COA stamp....I went back to the initial auction link, and you can't see the stamp in the pic, but in the item description the seller makes note of it.

I'm not sure why they'd make a different version without a COA........honestly I'd stay away then if it didn't have the stamp, unless I could confirm that was some sort of variation and not simply a fake.

Hmm, interesting. Yeah I saw some previous sales and they seem pretty rare. I mean, the Taylor Griffin sold for like $35.

It might be just like the Topps photoshoot autos. There were pack inserted versions and there were a handful given to the player as well, which get distributed there after. The pack pulled ones from topps had a black Topps holo sticker on the back. The player distribution versions had no sticker. I dont know if pannini did this as well or not. It could be a possibility. Ive read somewhere that there were unstamped version.

they're extremely rare, and highly collected/collectible. that seller is 100% correct in his listing with the Taylor card.
