Panini's Prestige Sildeshow Preview

I have to say that one of the biggest disappointments with Prestige last season was that they didn't have any foil stamping for the brand on it like in years past. They just look like something anybody could print from their home. Don't get me wrong, some of them are very nice designs, I just think that the small things that only a full blown printing operation (like a shiny silver brand embossing) make cards a little more appealing.

Those rookie card auto's toward the end look like less attractive sticker versions of Press Pass autographs.

I've never been a huge Prestige fan though - usually the type of product that I'll pick up a few packs if I'm around a hobby store or maybe buy a blaster just to pick up some of the new rookies.

I saw NOTHING to get excited about, this is the same crappy design as previous years, panini has come in and
done nothing with this set and the fact that they pictured no Tebow cards means they are either 1) out of
touch with what collectors want or 2) not going to put his cards into products. No Tebow means no buy for
me.

They will have Tebow. The day after the draft they had a mock up of him in his teal shirt and Broncos hat.

Also, nice to see some on card autos there. Seems pretty good for an early season product.

look Clausen signed 10000 cards, but nothing from Tebow...how can not have, or at least show in promo material

wow, there sure are a lot of terrible looking cards in thus set. Not that its anything new for
Panini or this product.
