Why in the world would they give up a 1strnd pick nect year which will be a top 10 IMO for a dL that is on his way out and his betters years far far away gone

This is exactly right. He may just save Oakland from getting fleeced.

It is not a first round pick next year - it is for a first round pick in 2011.
