The Los Angeles Clippers, in a potentially franchise-changing trade, have finally reached a deal with the New Orleans Hornets to acquire four-time All-Star guard Chris Paul from the New Orleans Hornets, sources tell TNT’s David Aldridge. The Clippers will send promising shooting guard Eric Gordon, center Chris Kaman, second-year forward Al-Faroqu Aminu and a 2012 first-round draft pick from the Minnesota Timberwolves that is currently unprotected to the Hornets.

Im psyched man!! I'm a little bummed they traded my favorite player, Eric Gordon, but Chris Paul definitely makes the Clippers a better team!

Oh, and I've heard that Albert Pujols guy is pretty good too.

P.S. Why does Albert Pujols link to eBay? Is this new?

Good for the Clips. but I was exited at the prospect of him becoming a Laker & playing with Kobe. Oh well.
The league did everything they could to make that not happen. This trade is worse than the one they had with Houston & the Lakers.

I totally disagree.

Though in the short term, they MAY be worse, this is a much better long-term deal for NO, especially with new ownership on the Way...

It may be better long term, but you cant argue that David Stern was wrong for vetoing the original trade.

I agree with you.

It was a better trade for the Hornets. They got a better player than they were receiving (Scola + Martin < Gordon), the best pick they could possibly get (Minnesota's UNPROTECTED #1), a reliable, expiring big man contract and a young, developing swing man in Aminu.

Their starting 5 has the chance to be sneaky good, too:

Jarrett Jack - PG
Eric Gordon - SG
Trevor Ariza - SF
Emeka Okafor - PF
Chris Kaman - C (That is, if they start Kaman and Okafor, if Kaman isn't trade sooner than later)

With the youth on that team, they can be a very frisky team to play on the 2nd or 3rd night of back to back (to backs).
